In the loving memory of
Eliran Mizrahi
Nov 22, 1999 - Oct 7, 2023
With deep sorrow, the Bimmatch family commemorates the memory of Eliran Mizrahi
Eliran and his fiancée Maya Biton were together for six years. They were a loving couple with big plans and a great passion for life. On their last trip to Santorini in Greece, Eliran proposed to Maya, and they were supposed to get married in September 2024, these days of writing the commemoration.
To our great sorrow, the young couple's lives and plans were cut short and cruelly in the tragedy of the Nova festival in Re'im, on that black morning of October 7, 2023.
On the morning of the murderous attack, out of an understanding of the magnitude of the tragedy that was unfolding around him and concern for his family who were very anxious for his safety, Eliran corresponded with his family and reassured them as much as possible that he was fine and together with Maya they would soon return home. He continued to correspond with them until 11:40.
Eliran, Maya, and 16 other young participants of the festival hid from the terrorists inside a container, but the brutality of the murderers did not escape them. Eliran and Maya were found in the container hugging each other and were buried with a joint tombstone. Eliran was 24 years old.
Eliran left behind his parents, Hufit and Chaim, two sisters Liem and Talia, and a brother, Ofek.
The Mizrahi family lived for the last ten years in Petah Tikva after many years in the city of Eilat.
As a teenager, Eliran was always surrounded by friends. He was an excellent student at Yah Brenner High School, the same high school where Cheli Wasserman, CEO of Bimmatch, also studied.
Eliran worked in an insurance company, but his greatest ambitions were in real estate. In 2023, he diligently studied and obtained a real estate brokerage certificate, where he took his first steps in the field with his aunt Shirly.
Eliran's ambitions, life, and great love were cut short, leaving a great void and a huge pain for his family, acquaintances, and us all.
They loved to dance, and they loved nature. Together with hundreds of other young people, Eliran and Maya arrived at the Nova festival with music in their hearts and a sincere and simple desire for a good life.
We will never forget Eliran, we will never forget Maya, and we will never forget all the victims of the tragedy that befell the State of Israel in October 2023. Their memory will be enshrined in our hearts forever.
